Huskies Back in Action

Pottersville, NY -The Word of Life Huskies returned to the court after the Christmas break, traveling to take on Southern Maine Community College and Great Bay Community College.

On Monday, the Huskies battled the Seawolves in a closely fought game. Both offenses struggled to get going in the first half but settled into the game by the second half. The Seawolves built a 15-point lead late into the game, but the Huskies fought back to keep it tight. Ultimately, the Seawolves were able to hang on to grab the win. Efraim Marvin led the Huskies with 18 points and tacked on 4 steals.

The Huskies got little rest before traveling to take on the Herons Tuesday night. They were unable to get back on track and dropped to the top team in the YSCC standings. Michael Weyand gave the team a spark off the bench, adding 13 points in 13 minutes and shooting 5-8 from the field.

The Huskies will continue their string of away games on Saturday when they take on the Mustangs from Central Maine Community College.
