Pottersville, NY—On Friday evening, the Huskies hosted the Warriors from Vaughn College for their final home game of the regular season. The home fans came to see a good performance from their Huskies, and the team did not disappoint.
Halfway through the first half, the Huskies had built a double-digit lead and showed no signs of slowing down. By halftime, the Huskies led 49-23 while all the starters shared the scoring load. The Warriors' offense found more success in the second half shooting 60.7% from the field. However, they were unable to stop the Huskies as the home team would take the win 97-68.
Bartosz Sawon gave the Warriors a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds. His teammate led the Warriors with 22 points. The Huskies were led by Javion Glenn with 23 points. Javion has stepped nicely into a starting role as Hayden Grant went down with an injury a couple of weeks prior. All five starters for the Huskies scored in double figures, while Michael Weyand added 14 points off the bench. The Huskies dominated the paint with 60 points down low.
The Huskies will wait to see the schedule for the Bible College NIT tournament in Powell, TN.
