Pottersville, NY— The Huskies wrapped up their home schedule for the season on Saturday afternoon as the Lynx from NHTI came into town. Both teams played a week prior in a back-and-forth game resulting in a Huskies' win.
Saturday's game would be a different story as the Lynx jumped out to an early lead and were up 23-8 at the end of the first quarter. The Huskies struggled to get back into the game and would eventually fall to the Lynx 67-39. They were able to out rebound the Lynx 46-41 but the Lynx took advantage of the Huskies' turnovers by scoring 29 points off of them.
The Lynx were led by Avery Geaumont and Megan Pellerin who both scored 24 points in the game. Ariana Phillips led the Huskies with 15 points while Addie Phillips added 10 points of her own.
The Huskies will get a short break before traveling to take on Great Bay Community College on Friday, February 14th. The Huskies secured a 47-35 win against the Herons earlier this season and will look to grab another win.
